The idea for this exhibition came from seeing how over the years my friends and family have changed and developed their own lives, each in their own individual direction. I have started the exhibition which a womens pregnant belly, the beginning of our life cycle. The images travel through various ages from a new born baby to a ninety six year old lady. Underneath each image I chose to do individual photographs of their hands as hands tell a great deal about a person’s life, they are also the tell tale sign of a person’s age.

I find photographing people extremely interesting and rewarding. I try to always get a natural feel to my photographs, catching that one expression, ones that are often just fleeting glances. I always spend quite a bit of time with each of my subjects, allowing me to get to know them a little, and in turn them becoming relaxed with the camera. Composition is important; sometimes it is the expression that tells all we need to know, at other times the setting is necessary to say more about the individual.

This exhibition was on at The Chichester Centre of Arts and then displayed in an empty restaurant in Grayshott, Surrey and opened for a week.
